January Message from the Manager
Thoughts of gratitude
With the New Year upon us, I can’t help but reflect on the gratitude I feel for our communities.
I think most will agree this past year was a year like no other––certainly in my lifetime. And while we’ve seen our share of challenges, I am heartened by the ways in which we have all pulled together to make our communities stronger.
I want to recognize and thank some people for their efforts in these challenging times.
First, to our locally owned businesses. You came up with innovative ways to stay open and provide services within our communities. And to our local residents who responded by supporting these businesses.
Second, to our healthcare workers. You have worked tirelessly to provide quality care and comfort for those in need. Many of you have picked up extra shifts to meet the needs of those you serve.
Third, to our teachers and school staff. You have adapted lesson plans, teaching methods, and food service to accommodate the distance learning environment.
And last, but not least, to our volunteer firefighters and first responders. You put your lives at risk to help others day or night.
Thank you! You all make a tremendous difference in our communities and make our corner of the world a better place to call home.
Until next time,
Jerry King
