RDFC grants awarded
On behalf of Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative, the Rural Development Finance Corporation (RDFC) recently awarded $2,000 in grants to community-based projects in Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative’s service territory.
The Kenmare Ambulance received $1000 to purchase a new ambulance. The Columbus Fire Department received $1,000 to purchase new tires for its brush trucks.
Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative is a member of RDFC. As a result, communities in the Cooperative’s service area were eligible to apply for a grant of up to $2,000 for community-based projects. RDFC made these funds available in order that more people become aware of its larger loan program that funds community-based projects and non-profit entities with low interest loans.
