RDFC grants awarded
On behalf of Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative, the Rural Development Finance Corporation (RDFC) awarded $2,000 in grants to community-based projects in Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative’s service territory.
The Burke County Fair Board received $1,000 to repair the concession stands and ticket booth located under the grandstand at the county fairgrounds.
St. Luke’s Hospital, located in Crosby, received $1,000 to assist with heating upgrades at its long-term care facility.
Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative is a member of RDFC. As a result, communities in the Cooperative’s service area were eligible to apply for a grant of up to $2,000 for community-based projects. RDFC made these funds available in order that more people become aware of its larger loan program that funds community-based projects and non-profit entities with low-interest loans.
