Human Resources Supervisor

Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative is looking for a Human Resources Supervisor to provide accurate and efficient human resource related services, benefits, compliance, and payroll processing for the Cooperative.

Exceptional attention to detail is essential to this role. Qualified candidate will need to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while communicating effectively with team members. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Benefits and insurance programs administration; maintain documentation to support and ensure compliance with 401k plan and retirement security plan;   payroll administration including monthly, quarterly and year-end reports and worksheets; administer the Cooperative’s alcohol/drug testing program; maintain employment records and HR files in compliance with legal and HR department guidelines; maintain company policies and policy manuals; assist with Board of Director meetings; create HR reports for monthly board meetings; develop and implement Wellness Program; and assist with accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Business or Accounting or related college degree preferred. Related work experience preferred. Continuing education in human resources including but not limited to payroll laws, benefit administration, and company policy. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality of human resources/payroll information. Must be able to pass drug test and new hire physical.

Journeyman Lineworker (3 positions open)

Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for a Journeyman Lineworker (3 openings). This position performs overhead and underground electric line construction and maintenance, maintains substation facilities, as well as the operation and maintenance of equipment under the direction of a Line Foreman.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, driving trucks, operating equipment, loading and unloading material, climbing poles, working from aerial man-lift devices. May be required to work on call, after hours, weekends and holidays, respond timely to urgent or emergency situations and work in inclement weather during outages.

Qualified candidates will have: High School diploma or equivalent, Lineman Apprenticeship Program Diploma, completion of a qualified four-year Journeyman Lineworker training program, Valid ND Driver’s License, hold a Class A CDL, and live within 15 minutes of assigned office location.
