Energy Assistance

Are you or someone you know having difficulty paying home heating bills? If so, there is a federal program that could help.

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), administered by the N.D. Department of Human Services and human service zone offices (formerly known as county social service offices), provides home energy assistance to eligible low-income households.

Applications are accepted from Oct. 1 to May 31 of each heating season. Applications are available at human service zone offices and must be completed each season.
