Attend YOUR annual Meeting
It’s that time of year again. Annual meeting season has arrived! On behalf of Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative, I invite you to join us for your cooperative’s 81st annual meeting on Wednesday, June 10, at the Kenmare outpost.
The annual meeting is your opportunity to stay informed and engaged. You’ll hear updates on cooperative operations, programs and services, visit with your directors and employees, and connect with fellow members of your community.
Just as important, the meeting gives you the chance to take part in one of the key benefits of cooperative membership – voting for your board of directors. Your cooperative is guided by a democratically elected board made up of local members who understand the challenges and priorities of our area, because they live and work here, too. If you’ve never attended an annual meeting or if it’s been a while, we encourage you to join us. It’s a great way to learn more about your cooperative, enjoy a complimentary meal and spend time with neighbors.
And don’t forget about the prizes. This year’s progressive cash drawing is $500, with one name drawn from the entire membership. You must be present to win. We’ll also award a $500 memorial scholarship during the meeting through a luck-of-thedraw selection. Visit our scholarship page to learn more.
For those who prefer to stay in their vehicles, the meeting will again be broadcast via FM radio in the parking lot. Your annual report and official meeting notice will be mailed at the end of May. Please take time to review the report and bring it to the meeting, along with
any questions.
